Amanda Williams is a freelance writer and a camper at heart. She got her first taste of the outdoors as a child on family vacations. As her brothers seemed to outgrow camping, she spent more and more of her time outside.
After receiving degrees in horticulture and Spanish, she spent time backpacking in France. She has visited dozens of countries and hiked on some of the most famous trails in the world. Whether it be peaks in Asia or cross-country trails in America, they slowly get ticked off the bucket list.
Beyond writing and doing research for her own gear, she has written for travel and adventure publications like Matador Network and COG. No matter where she goes, a native plant guide, laptop, and a sleeping bag are never far away.
